Casa Atabex Aché - House of Womyn's Power

Casa Atabex Aché has a rich legacy of supporting womyn of color to reconnect with their individual and collective powers of healing and action so they may transform their lives, families and communities. Utilizing a holistic model, Casa's mission is to support the emotional, spiritual, physical and intellectual development of womyn and their health needs related to their experiences of abuse and neglect. Casa has two core constituencies: young and adult womyn of color living in the Mott Haven section of the South Bronx as well as young and adult womyn of color organizers on the frontline (e.g. activists, social workers, teachers, etc.).

Casa Atabex Ache is calling out all artist - poets, emcees, musicians, storytellers, singers, writers, playwrights, and spoken word artists!

EVERYONE & ANYONE is welcome for a powerful night of music and poetry. No sign up sheets or restrictions just bring your voice!

Come join us as we finally introduce and celebrate one of our upcoming youth programs, Express Flow, becoming a part of our schools and community.

So after a long night at work, come vibe with us, be inspired, enjoy some delicious treats, find out more on Casa, make a new friend, and bring your voice!

Suggested Donations of $5 are welcome to help us fundraise for programming in support of Express Flow!

What is Express Flow? Express Flow is a program where youth are encouraged to challenge each other on interpretation, performance, and how they relate to poetry (and each other).­­ With the help from staff, this program provides the space for youth artists to not only share material but evaluate their work through writing exercises, coalitions, possible field trips and performances.
